Leasing and Showing of Properties Update

We hope you and your family are doing well during this unique, unprecedented and (for most) stressful time.

One of our duties and responsibilities in managing your real estate asset is handling the leasing process.

Over the past several months, even before the onset of COVID-19 into Canada, we had started to notice that consumer/prospective tenants’ behavior was starting to change to be more internet driven.

With COVID-19 now keeping people more home-based, having specific social distances, general anxiety over gatherings and being in any type of proximity to unfamiliar or unknown people internet traffic and queries are steadily increasing.

As we started to look to the future and trends we were already underway in reviewing and looking to implement higher quality pictures as well as property videos and video modeling.  The current events we are all going thru have drastically moved up our timelines and we are working to get have these additional measures in place over the next several weeks for all currently available rental properties, and then for all properties as they become available for lease and new tenants.

As always, the leasing process starts with a personal discussion to pre-qualify the prospective tenants and finish with our formal application and credit check process.
